MANGAN, 31 Oct: ‘Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas 2013’ the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi was observed here at the premises of Mangan Senior Secondary School, North Sikkim, today.
The programme was organised by the District Administrative Centre North. District Magistrate, North, CP Dhakal addressed the function. Bhavishya Bharat Foundation handed over 267 desks and benches, sponsored by Teesta Urja Ltd. to the school while Councilor, MNP, Prakash Mallu also donated 10 nos. of wall fans to the school.
Similarly, the Tasa Tengay Secondary School Chungthang in collaboration with SDM Office also observed the day which was chaired by SDM Chungthang, ST Tashi Dhakarpa as the chief guest along with SDPO Chungthang, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry, police personnel, students and teachers.
The chief guest read out the pledge and addressed the gathering. A rally was also taken out from the school to SDM Office which was participated by all.
