GANGTOK, 27 Oct: The Dirty Angels Motorcycle Club felicitated former president of the club, Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha for his contributions towards the club in the past and congratulated him on being appointed the general secretary of Sikkim Pradesh Trinamool Congress.
“We congratulate him for his new post and wish him all the best for future endeavors. We know that he would be an asset to any organization since he has played a positive role in the charity works that DAMC has carried out in the past” said club president, Rinzing Nadikpa at a function held today at the DAMC Club House at Tathangchen. The DAMC members also acknowledged the contribution of Tshering Lepcha in making charitable projects like the "I See You” campaign in Dzongu (North Sikkim).
It was also informed during the felicitation programme that the club has recently initiated a project called "Sudden Smile", a charity of a kind where the club shall be touring to remote areas in South Sikkim with an objective to bring a smile on to people’s faces. The DAMC motorcycle convoy will also be riding with a dentist who will check and treat villagers along the way. It was also informed that the club has done lot of charity work till now and will continue to do so but it has always been possible with the help and support of the humble people of Sikkim.
It was also said that to make this year’s charity more successful and interesting the club has decided to hold a raffle on 25 December 2013 and the ticket buyers have the chance to win a brand new 350 Enfield Motorcycle, LCD TV or a Lap top. The club has printed a limited number of tickets and the entire amount collected from the ticket sale will be used for the project ‘Sudden Smile’.
