MANGAN, 08 Apr: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha candidate, NB Khatiwara, central body executive member JS Singhi and party supporters held a meeting at Mangan community Hall premises today.
The BJP Lok Sabha candidate in his address raised the issues of decline in cardamom production in the North district, rising unemployment, corruption in hydel power projects, etc. Not a single power project affected area has been provided free electricity, he shared. He further alleged that no tourism development project has been undertaken in North district, the road conditions have worsened in the 20 years of SDF governance and commercial tax rates have been hiked.
Mr. Khatiwara said that BJP is the only alternative and urged for support in the coming elections.
Elsewhere, BJP candidate Tashi Rai campaigned door-to-door in Namcheybong, while BJP candidate from Upper Burtuk, Ugen Tamang, visited Thami Dara, Ranka and Luing areas.
