After 18 years on the job, your trust and endorsement keeps me committed to the task and I want to make things even better in Sikkim,” shared Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at Assam Lingzey Senior Secondary School ground today, the 33rd day of his village-to-village tour of the State when he toured Shyari and Namchebong constituencies of East Sikkim.

Sayapatri Samaj hosts “environment and pollution control” prog at Namcheybong

GANGTOK, 17 June [IPR]: The Sayapatri Samaj Sudhar Sangha of Middle Namchebong, Pakyong, East Sikkim organised an awareness programme, sponsored by the State Pollution Control Board and the Forest Department, on “Environment and Pollution  Control” on 15 June at the Sayapatri Kunj.
The programme was presided over by Devendra Chettri, ACF, BAC Rhenock as the chief guest and SP Bhutia R.O (T), Pakyong along with HC Pradhan, Joint Director, Horticulture, PK Subba, Deputy Director, Horticulture, Thom Tsh. Bhutia, BO (T) Ranipol as special guest and was attended by the local gentry and members of the Sangh.

Cooperative Society convenes AGM, thanks Govt for special schemes

GANGTOK, 01 May: The first annual meeting of Awaaz Majdoor Nirman Sahakari Samiti was conveyed yesterday at Aho Yangtam GPU under Namcheybong constituency, informs a press release issued by the president of the Samity, Suren Subba.
The GPU vice-president, Buddha Singh Mangar, was present as the chief guest and acknowledged the contributions made by all the Samity members towards the success of the Samity so far. He also thanked the Chief Minister and the area MLA for their “kind consideration towards the welfare of the youth”.
The president of the Samity, Suren Subba thanked the government for providing them with various schemes which have made the youth self reliant. He also applauded the efforts made by all the members during its first year of office.
