SKM forms block and ward-level committees

GANGTOK, 11 Dec: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha [SKM] held a meeting at its Lall Bazaar office under Arithang constituency under the chairmanship of the constituency in-charge of the party, KJ Paljor today. The meeting, which was attended by East district advisor, NK Gurung and East district vice-convener, IK Gurung and party workers, discussed on strengthening the party further and also formed a block-level committee.
An SKM press release informs that the committee has Karma Bhutia as president, Ruben Subba and Tashi Subba as vice-presidents, Gyamtso Tamang and Ganesh Tamang as general secretaries and Dorji Bhutia and Naren Subba as organization secretaries.
Another ward level committee for Rolep-Chungthang ward under Gnathang constituency was also formed during a meeting on 10 December. The people of the area accused the ruling government of misusing funds that are meant for the poor people and extended their full support to the SKM party, the release claims.

SKM forms block level committee at Pechrek Hee Gaon

GANGTOK, 12 Nov: A block-level committee of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha for Pechrek Hee-Gaon GPU under Rinchenpong constituency in West Sikkim was constituted today. The committee was formed at a meeting jointly presided over by Ram Bahadur Subba, Pem Tseten Bhutia and Kul Bahadur Bista, an SKM press release informs.
The release adds that the newly formed block level body has Nakul Limboo as president, Ragpey Bhutia as vice-president and Buddha Singh Tamang as general secretary.
The release adds that the chief guest, RK Waling stated that due to communal policies of the ruling party, the Sikkimese society has been fractured and that people from across the State have now begun coming forward for society building.
