NAMCHI, 04 Dec: Social Audit under MGNREGA is being conducted in two Gram Panchayat Units namely Kitam Manpur GPU and Sorak Shyampani GPU under Gram Vikash Kendra, Namchi by Pacific Club, West District. This Social Audit is for all the MGNREGA works which have been completed in the year 2011-12 and 2012-13. The date of Jan Sunwai has been fixed on 10 December 2013 for Kitam Manpur GPU and 11 December 2013 for Sorak Shyampani GPU.
As learnt, for the Jan Sunwai, 30% attendance of MGNREGA workers from amongst the Job Card holders is mandatory. Hence, for successful conduct of Jan Sunwai all the Job Card workers under MGNREGA of the above two Gram Panchayat Units have been requested to be present in their respective Gram Prashasan Kendras (GPK) on the given date.
Further, ex-panchayats, the suppliers, ex-officers or staffs who were responsible for the implementation of MGNREGA works during the period have also been requested to participate in the Jan Sunwai.
