Man dies of burn injuries six months after incident

GANGTOK, 02 June: A person succumbed to burn injuries, six months after he was involved in a kitchen mishap. As per reports, the deceased, Balaram Adhikari, a resident of Aho village under Pakyong police jurisdiction, had sustained burn injuries on 04 December, 2013, when the kerosene stove he was using burst into flames. He was lodged at the STNM Hospital undergoing treatment till 24 May, 2014, when he was finally discharged and brought home. The burns victim however soon developed complications and on 01 June, his condition reportedly worsened. He was rushed to the Central Referral Hospital, Tadong but he succumbed on the way.
