Namchi lad selected to play for Ranchi District Cricket Association
NAMCHI, 21 Oct: 22-year-old Robin Dhungel of Namchi has been selected by the Ranchi District Cricket Association [RDCA] to join their squad for the OP Jindal Memorial Cricket Tournament under Super Division which is starting from 15 Dec at Ranchi.
Robin, son of Chandra Prasad Dhungel of Agam Gram, Namchi, has been playing cricket since he was 14 and has now got a chance to play for RDCA. Born in Namchi, his knowledge on cricket was limited, but his interest in the sport and skills have brought him this far.

Emotional wins T20 tourney at Reshi
GANGTOK, 09 June: The final match of the Harka Bahadur Memorial Challenge T-20 Cricket Cup was played between Emotional Team of Dalep, West Bengal, and Tarpin Secondary School on 06 June at Reshi near Shivalaya Mandir, East Sikkim.
Emotional lifted the winner’s trophy defeating Tarpin Secondary School by 11 runs. The latter team was bowled out for 112 runs while chasing a target of 123 set by Emotional.
The winning team were presented cash award of Rs. 3,000, trophy and medals while the runner up received Rs. 1,500, trophy and medals. The man of the series title went to Pukar Shivakothi of the Dalep team.
The match was umpired by Basant Tamang and Reshap Pradhan while the score board was maintained by Gopal Pathak and Bhusan Adhikari, informs a press release.

Royal Challenger’s Mangan lift Vodafone Championship Trophy
MANGAN, 22 May: The 1st Vodafone Championship Trophy Cricket Tournament (VCTCT), organized by Royal Challengers Cricket Club (RCCC) of Mangan in North Sikkim was lifted by the host team yesterday.
Royal Challenger’s took on Kangaroo Boys [Dikchu] in the final match played at Mangan Public Ground and won by 35 runs. The Mangan team scored 165 runs in 20 overs. 44 teams had participated from all over the district.
