Red Cross Society reviews and plans activities in Sikkim

GANGTOK, 29 Nov: The Indian Red Cross Society, Sikkim Branch, convened a meeting on 25 November chaired by Speaker, KT Gyaltsen who is also the President of the Society’s state branch at the Conference Hall of Sikkim Legislative Assembly, informs a press release. The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman, Dr SK Dewan, Legal adviser, Mr. Uppadhai, General Secretary, BK Roka, Jt. Secretary, KN Subedi along with the executive and regular members of the society.

Red Cross team visits earthquake and landslide affected Neha-Mangzing

NAMCHI, 16 Nov: A team from the Red Cross Society, Sikkim-Chapter, today visited earthquake and landslide affected areas of Neha Mangzing in South Sikkim. The team was assisted on the visit by the Mangzing Landslide/ Earthquake Relief Committee formed last year.

Red Cross-Sikkim reaches relief and assistance to affected areas

GANGTOK, 30 Sept: The Indian Red Cross Society [IRCS], Sikkim Branch, has been assisting the state authorities in the earthquake-hit areas by contributing relief materials in North, East and South districts despite the unfavorable weather, a press release informs.
The IRCS state branch general secretary, BK Roka, informs that on the 25 September, two teams visited Linzya, Bey and Mangan in North Sikkim and delivered relief items and on the 26 September, relief items reached Namthang and Borong in South Sikkim.
