Helping Hands applauds all who assisted earthquake relief work

GANGTOK, 02 Dec: A valedictory function to felicitate individuals and Non Governmental Organisations who made a “tremendous and selfless impact” in helping Sikkim recover from the 18 September Earthquake was organized by Helping Hands, Sikkim, at Hotel Rendezvous here today. Helping Hands, it may be recalled, was an umbrella organization of Sikkim-based NGOs formed in the aftermath of the earthquake to coordinate efforts at organizing and directing relief and rescue operations across the State.

Helping Hands and Red Cross Society make final review of relief and rehabilitation work in North Sikkim

MANGAN, 14 Nov: Helping Hands Sikkim, an umbrella organisation of 38 NGOs formed in the wake of the18 September Earthquake to assist relief and rehabilitation works, made a final review of relief work in North Sikkim in coordination with Red Cross Society on 12 and 13 November.

Helping Hands Sikkim details relief and rescue efforts

GANGTOK, 10 Oct: Helping Hands Sikkim, an organisation formed on 23 September consisting of 39 NGOs, has to reached relief materials, provided medical aid and also helped in rescue works to almost all parts of Chungthang, Lachen, Lachung and Dzongu, informed the organisation’s president Paljor Lachungpa while speaking to the media today.

Coordinate relief progressing well

INTER-AGENCY RESPONSE GROUP RENAMED HELPING HANDS, SIKKIM

GANGTOK, 27 Sept: At a meeting held on 22 Sept in Gangtok, the umbrella organisation formed under the banner of ‘Inter Agency Response Group’ was renamed ‘Helping Hands, Sikkim’ and two members nominated from each member organisation to coordinate relief efforts, informs a press release.
The organisation is headed by Palzor Lachungpa of TAAS as president, Karma Laden Dorji as vice president, Kailash Agarwal as general secretary and Ashok Sarda as treasurer.
