GANGTOK, 24 July: The state government has appointed former Speaker KT Gyaltsen and former MP Bhim Dahal as legal and press advisors to the Chief Minister respectively. Both posts are Cabinet rank.
Mr. Gyaltsen was appointed Legal Advisor to the Chief Minister vide a notification published on 23 July, 2014 along with Mr. Dahal as Press Advisor. The notification, issued in the name of the Governor, is signed by the Chief Secretary. Mr. Dahal had served as Press Advisor to the Chief Minister in the last term [2009-14] as well.
