Pendam FC and JVC FA qualify for 2nd Division S-League

GANGTOK, 28 May: Pendam Football Club and JVC Football Academy have qualified for the Second Division Sikkim-League 2014 here at Paljor Stadium. Pendam FC topped the final league of the qualifying round with 9 points from 4 games while JVC FA Singtam finished second with 8 points.
The last match in the final league of the Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round played today between JVC Singtam and Brotherhood FC ended in 3-3 draw. Both teams shared a point each from this draw match.
After playing four matches each in the final league, Sikkim Royal Sports Academy finished in third position with 6 points followed by Brotherhood FC with 4 points and Tadong United FC with just 1 point.
However, Sikkim Football Association has informed that the third team may get a chance if any of the 6 clubs already in the Second Division fail to confirm their participation by 31 May.
The six clubs already in the Second Division are FC United of Jorethang, Dalom Sports Association Sombaria, Howlers SC Singtam, Aakraman XI along with two clubs who were relegated from the First Division Boys Club-A and Friends Football Club (NHPC) Singtam.
The Premier League or First Division has United Sikkim FC, Sikkim Police FC, Boys Club, Sikkim State Sports Academy, Siniolchu Club Namchi, SAI Namchi, Sikkim Himalayan SC (Red) (promoted from 2013 S-League) and D'zongri SC (also promoted from 2013 S-League).

Brotherhood FC thrashes Tadong United

GANGTOK, 27 May: Brotherhood Football Club thrashed Tadong United Football Club today in the ongoing final league of the Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. Brotherhood FC registered the victory with 7 goals to nil. Brotherhood FC will now take on JVC Singtam in its last match on Wednesday.

JVC and Tadong United collect more points

GANGTOK, 26 May: JVC FA, Singtam, and Tadong United Football Club registered convincing victories today at the ongoing final league of the Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium.

In the nail-biting match, JVC FA Singtam edged past Sikkim Royal Sports Academy by a solitary goal. In the other match of the day, Pendam FA registered an easy win by thrashing Tadong United FC 5-0.

On Tuesday, a single match will be played between Tadong United and Brotherhood FC at 12:30 PM.

2ND DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND UPDATE Pendam FA picks up more points

GANGTOK, 22 May: Pendam Football Academy outplayed Brotherhood Football Club today in the ongoing final league of the Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. In the contesting match, Pendam FA registered its 2-0 victory to earn 3 points.

Another closely played match of the day between Tadong United Football Club and JVC FA Singtam ended in 1-1 draw. Both the teams shared 1 point each from this draw.

On 24 May, the first match will be played between Sikkim Royal Sports Academy and Brotherhood FC while in the second match Pendam FA will take on JVC FA Singtam.

Sikkim Royals and Brotherhood FC register easy wins
GANGTOK, 20 May: Sikkim Royal Sports Academy thrashed Tadong United Football Club today in the ongoing final league of the Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. Sikkim Royal SA registered an easy win with 4 goals to nil.
Meanwhile, following the protest lodged by Denzong Boyz regarding the identity and eligibility of some of the players of Brotherhood FC on 14 May, SFA decided on a rematch which was played today. In the match, Brotherhood FC thrashed Denzong Boyz 08-01.
On 22 May, Pendam FA will take on Brotherhood FC in the first match which will be followed by the other match between Tadong United FC and JVC FA Singtam.

Five teams survive Super-10 knock-out stage

GANGTOK, 15 May: Tadong United FC edged past FA Namthang in the last match of the Super 10 knock out stage today in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. In the contesting match played today, Tadong United won the match in a tie-breaker.

FA Namthang finished the first half with a 1-0 lead. In the dying minutes of the second half, Tadong United scored the crucial equalizer and the match ended in 1-1 draw.

In the tie-breaker through penalty shots, Tadong United registered its victory with 5 goals against 3 goals by FA Namthang. With this loss, FA Namthang has also been knocked out from the qualifying round.

With the end of the Super 10 knock-out stage, five teams have emerged as winners who will now again be playing league matches from 18 May. These five teams are Sikkim Royal Sports Academy, Pendam Football Club, JVC FA Singtam, Brotherhood FC and Tadong United FC.

On 18 May, the first league match will be played between Sikkim Royal Sports Academy and Pendam FA which will be followed by another match between Brotherhood FC and Tadong United FC. 

2ND DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND UPDATE

Super 10 knock-out stage begins
GANGTOK, 14 May: The Super 10 Knock-out stage of the Second Division Sikkim League qualifying round began on Tuesday here at Paljor Stadium. Sikkim Royal Sports Academy and Pendam Football Club emerged victorious on the first day of the knock-out stage.
In the first match, Sikkim Royal SA defeated Gangtok Sports League 3-1. In the other match Pendam FC outplayed Nav Prabhat Club 2-0. With this, Gangtok Sports League and Nav Prabhat Club have been knocked out of the qualifying round of the 2nd Division S-League.
In today’s matches, JVC FA Singtam outplayed FC Pakyong with a solitary goal while Brotherhood FC has knocked out Denzong Boyz with 5 goals against 2.
With this, Gangtok Sports League, Nav Prabhat Club, FC Pakyong and Denzong Boyz have been knocked out of the qualifying round of the 2nd Division S-League.
On Thursday, the last match of the Super 10 knock out stage will be played between FA Namthang and Tadong United FC.

2nd DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND UPDATE

Denzong Boys make it to Super-10 knockout stage
GANGTOK, 12 May: Denzong Boys has also secured its berth in the Super 10 Knock-out stage of the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. In the Group D match to decide the topper of the group today, Denzong Boys outplayed United Nandok FC by a solitary goal.
Meanwhile, in the last league match of the qualifying round today, Rendzong FC [Sheda] defeated Red Bulls FC, Arithang 2-0.
Matches in the Super 10 knock-out stage of the qualifying round will be starting on Tuesday. The first match in the Super 10 Knock-out will be played between Gangtok Sports League and Sikkim Royal Sports Academy, which will be followed by another match between Pendam FC and Nav Bharat Club.

2nd DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND UPDATE

Nine clubs through to Super-10 knockout round
GANGTOK, 11 May: Out of 30 clubs with which the contest began, nine have qualified for the Super-10 Knock-out stage in the ongoing qualifying round of the Second Division Sikkim League here at Paljor Stadium. Matches in the Super 10 Knock-out stage are scheduled to begin from 13 May.
The qualifying teams are: Gangtok Sports League from group A, Pendam FC from group B, FC Pakyong from group C, FA Namthang from group E, Sikkim Royal Sports Academy from group F, Nav Prabhat Club from group G, JVC FA Singtam from group H, Brotherhood FC group I and Tadong United FC from group J.
In group D, due to equal number of points and goals between Denzong Boyz and United Nandok FC, the two teams will play against each other again on Monday at 2:30 PM to decide which team progresses to the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, Greendale Senior Secondary School defeated United Nandok FC in its last match of the qualifying round today here at Paljor Stadium. Greendale registered its win with a score of 3-2.
In the other match of the day, Renzong FC edged past FA Armature with a lone goal.
The last qualifying match will be played between Red Bull FC, Arithang and Rendzong FC [Sheda] on Monday at 12:30 PM.

2nd DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND UPDATE

GANGTOK, 09 May: Mendyong FC, Rumtek outplayed Invincible FC, Middle Tadong today in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. Mendyong FC defeated Invincible FC, Middle Tadong 2-0 to add 3 points in the point tally.

In the other match of the day, Nav Prabhat Club also registered a convincing win by thrashing New Star, Middle Tadong 6-1 and added 3 points in the point tally.

FC Pakyong will take on Hill Stones Club in the first match on Saturday, which will be followed by the match between Kokkivo FC, Burtuk and United Generation, Chandmari. 

Mutanchi Rong and Ranka FC register slim victories at 2nd Division S-League qualifiers

GANGTOK, 08 May: Mutanchi Rong and Ranka FC have registered victories today in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium.
In the first match of the day, Mutanchi Rong outplayed Royal Sikkim FC, Development Area 2-0, while in another match, Ranka FC edged past Eagle FC 2-1.
On Friday, Invincible FC, Middle Tadong will clash with Mending FC, Rumtek in the first match, while the second match will be played between New Star, Middle Tadong and Nav Bharat Club.

2nd DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND UPDATE

FA Namthang and Tadong United win big
GANGTOK, 07 May: Football Association Namthang hammered Rendzong FC [Sheda] with 11 goals to win today’s match in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium.
FA Namthang scored 11 goals against 3 goals of Rendzong FC in the match.  The Sheda boys started out well opening the score and even leading 2-0 at one stage. However, FA Namthang retaliated with a volley of goals to win the match.
In the other match of the day, Tadong United Football Club defeated another strong team Tashi Phunchok FC, Mangalbaria 2-0.
Mutanchi Rong will now take on Royal Sikkim FC, Development Area on Thursday in the first match, while the second match of the day will be played between Ranka FC and Eagle FC.

Goals continue to pile up in 2nd Div qualifiers

GANGTOK, 05 May: Sikkim Himalayan Sporting Club and JVC FA Singtam registered victories today in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium.
In the first match of the day, Sikkim Himalayan Sporting Club thrashed Hill Stones Club 5-1. SHSC could have scored higher if they had been able to capitalize on some good opportunities that came their way in today´s match.
In the other match, JVC FA outplayed United Generation, Chandmari 3-1.
On Tuesday, Denzong Boys will take on Greendale Senior Secondary School in the first match and the second match will be played between Brotherhood FC and FA Armature.

2nd DIVISION S-LEAGUE UPDATE

GANGTOK, 04 May: Pendam FC thrashed Mending FC of Rumtek 08-01 today at the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium.
In the second match of the day, Nav Prabhat Club held Young Boys FA [Gyalshing] to a 1-1 draw.
On Saturday, Gangtok Sports League and Sikkim Royal SA registered convincing victories in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round.
In the first match of the day, Gangtok Sports League outplayed Royal Sikkim FC of Development Area 4-1. In the other match, Sikkim Royal SA beat Eagle FC 3-1.
On Monday, Himalayan SC [Blue] will be playing against Hills Stones Club in the first match, while the second match will be played between JVC FA, Singtam and United Generation, Chandmari.

After one-sided contests, some more keenly fought games

GANGTOK, 30 Apr: Sikkim Himalayan Sporting Club [Blue] held Football Club Pakyong for a draw today in the ongoing Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round here at Paljor Stadium. The closely contested match ended in 1-1 draw. Both teams missed some good opportunities to score more in the match.

In the tightly played second match of the day, JVC FA of Singtam beat Kokkivo FC of Burtuk 2-0.

On Thursday, Denzong Boys will take on United Nandok FC in the first match while the second match will be played between Brotherhood FC and Renzong FC. 

2ND DIVISION S-LEAGUE QUALIFYING ROUND KICKS OFF

Gangtok teams register big wins on day-One
GANGTOK, 28 Apr: The Second Division Sikkim-League qualifying round kicked off here at Paljor Stadium this afternoon. Thirty teams from different parts of the state will be participating in the qualifying round of the league, which is being organized by Sikkim Football Association.
In the inaugural match, Gangtok Sports League thrashed Mutanchi Rong 8-3. In the second match of the day, Ranka FC went down to Sikkim Royal SA 1-2.
The inaugural day had the Sports & Youth Affairs Secretary, PR Poudyal as the chief guest, while the Rajya Sainik Board Secretary, DN Bhutia was present as the guest of honour.
Speaking to media persons today, SFA general secretary Menla Ethenpa informed that there are 5 new teams in this season of the second division qualifying round of the league. This time there are teams from Gyalshing, Mangalbaria, Namthang, Central Pendam, Ranka, Singtam, Pakyong and in and around Gangtok. This time a team of Sheda Rendzong FC is also taking part in the league.
These 30 teams have been divided into 10 groups with 3 teams in each group. Mr Ethenpa informed that only the topper of each group will then advance to the Super-10 knockout stage.
Two matches will be played every day where the first match will start at 12:30 PM which will be followed by the second match at 2:30 PM.
On Tuesday, Pendam FC will take on Invincible FC [Middle Tadong] in the first mach, while the second match will be played between Young Boys FC [Gyalshing] and New Star [Middle Tadong].

Second Division qualifiers begin today

GANGTOK, 27 Apr: The qualifying round of the 2nd Division Sikkim-League organised by Sikkim Football Association is scheduled to kick off at Paljor Stadium here on Monday, 28 April.

There are 30 teams in the fray divided into ten clusters. Two matches are scheduled to played every day - the first match starting at 12.30 PM and the second match at 2.30 PM.

On Monday, the first match will have Gangtok Sports League taking on Mutanchi Rong while in the second match will be Sikkim Royal Sports Academy versus Ranka FC.

Second Division I-League prelims update

Aizawl and Eagles win big
GANGTOK, 13 Feb: Aizawl FC thrashed Kenkre FC [Mumbai] 4-0 in its last match in the ongoing Second Division I-League preliminary round today here at Paljor Stadium.
Michael Lalremruata scored the lead for Aizawl FC in the 12th minute and with another goal by his teammate in the 39th minute, Aizawl FC ended the first half with 2-0 lead. Kenkre players got some good opportunities to bounce back in the match but could not take advantage of them.
In the last minutes of the second half, Albert Zohmingmawia extended the lead of Aizawl to 3-0 in the 82nd minute and with the final goal by his teammate David Lalrinmuana, Aizawl FC registered the victory of 4-0.
In the other match, Eagles FC also hammered Hindustan FC 4-1.
Koko Atanda scored the early lead for Eagles FC in the 6th minute and finished the first half with 1-0 lead.  In the second half, goals from Nadong Bhutia in the 52nd minute and Odili Felix in the 61st minute extended the lead of Eagle FC to 3-0.
However, OO Sola narrowed the goal margin with his goal for Hindustan FC in the 82nd minute but a goal by Sujil KS in injury time sealed Eagle FC’s 4-1 victory.
On 15 February, Kenkre FC will take on Eagle FC in the first match and Bhawanipore FC will be playing against Hindustan FC in the other match.

SECOND DIVISION I-LEAGUE PRELIMS UPDATE

Two matches, 5 goals, one winner

GANGTOK, 11 Feb: Aizawl FC and Bhawanipore FC shared a point each with a draw match today in the ongoing preliminary round of the Second Division I-League here at Paljor Stadium. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Eric Aningo scored the lead early on in the 8^th minute for Aizawl FC but soon Daniel scored the equalizer for Bhawanipore FC in the 16^th minute and the first half ended 1-1, a scoreline which held till the final whistle.

In the second match of the day, Hindustan FC outplayed Kenkre FC 2-1. With the help of OO Sola’s goal in the 29^th minute Hindustan FC ended the first half with 1-0 lead. Within three minutes of the second half, Kamson Kabui extended the lead of Hindustan FC to 2-0. In the 59^th minute, Yash Mhatre managed to score for Kenkre FC. However, the match ended in favour of Hindustan FC with the score of 2-1 adding 3 points to their point tally.

On 13 February, Kenkre FC will take on Aizawl FC in the first match which will be followed by another match between Eagle FC and Hindustan FC. 

No wins in a day of draws

2ND DIVISION S LEAGUE UPDATE
GANGTOK, 04 July: The two matches played today in the ongoing Sikkim Football Association’s Second Division Sikkim-League-2012 here at Paljor Stadium both ended in draws. 
The first match between Friends’ FC, Singtam and Boys Club A ended in a 1-1 draw. Boy’s Club’s Suman Rai scored the first goal of the match in the 2nd minute, while Topden Lepcha scored for Friends’ FC in the 27th minute.
The other match between JVC FC Singtam and United Brothers FC Rabong also ended in a 1-1 draw. Sonam Rigzing scored for UBFC in the 26th minute and Kamal Pradhan scored for JVC in the 48th minute.
On Thursday, the first match will be played between Howlers FC Singtam and Dolom SA Sombaria, while in the other match, Boys’ Club A will take on Lower Arithang FC.
