GANGTOK, 21 Jan: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha held a ward-level
meeting at Upper Manzing ward of Rangang-Yangang, South Sikkim today.
An SKM release informs that secretary general of the party,
MK Subba in his address said that 2014 will be the year of change. He also
spoke on local issues and placed the plans and programmes of the party.
Free electricity supply to rural areas, free water supply in
town areas, all BPL schemes to be implemented in earnest, free medicines for
the poor, panchayat to be fully empowered, victims of chit fund scams to be
reimbursed etc were some of the party’s plans that Mr Subba highlighted.
He invited all to attend the first foundation day of SKM on 04
February at Jorethang and informed about the car rally titled ‘Pariwartan
Rally’ to be held where youth from all corners of the state will participate.
The meeting was also addressed by LR Gurung, Thala Ram Basnet and Sunil Gurung,
it is added.
