MANGAN, 07 Oct: A two-day training on Glacial Lake Outburst Floods [GLOF] began today at Zilla Bhawan Mangan, North Sikkim.
The training is being organized by Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority, District Disaster Management Authority, North in collaboration with National Institute of Disaster Management [NIDM], Ministry of Home Affairs.
The resource persons for the training are Dr. Surya Prakash and Ashok K Sharma from NIDM, Delhi. The training is being conducted for the police, panchayat, engineers, NGO, and Land Revenue and Disaster Management staff.
