Minister visits Zusing Druga Mandir damahed by PMGSY road project

MANGAN, 13 April: Power Minister, Sonam Gyatso Lepcha, who also happens to be the concerned area MLA, visited the Durga Mandir here at Zusing basti in Mangshila yesterday in follow-up to public complaints regarding the damage caused to the temple by the recently constructed PMGSY road there.
The temple is located right below the PMGSY road and has been damaged by debris from the excavation carried out for road construction. The roof and some portion of the structure have been damaged.

Ram Nawami at Upper Zusing

MANGAN, 12 April: Ram Nawami was observed here at the Durga Mandir in Zusing basti, Upper Mangshilla in North Sikkim today with special prayers organized by the Mandir Committee, which has Jangabir Biswakarma as president, Sadev Biswakarma as vice-president and Hem Kumar Biswakarma and Tilchand Biswakarma as members, in collaboration with the general public of the area.
The ceremony had Minister for Power & Energy, Sonam Gyatso Lepcha, who is also the area MLA, as chief guest accompanied him by Zilla member Zomin Limboo.
The Minister offered aarti at the temple while Pandit Gambir Das delivered a sermon highlighting the importance of Ram Nawami.
The function was also attended by Panchayat president, Padam Singh Limboo, ward Panchayat, Kamala Biswakarma, Panchayat Secretary, Sarki Bhutia, senior citizens and the general public and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Naku Pariyar (president, SC Association, North District).
