RHENOCK, 27 Apr: Rhenock Pratibha organized the 95th birth
anniversary celebration of Shiva Kumar Rai at the Rhenock bazaar community hall
on Saturday.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Shanti Chettri while the
other guests were Rhenock Tarpin Zilla Panchayat member KK Pradhan, former
Police In-charge KC Dhungel, heads of different schools, teachers, ex-servicemen,
teachers and students.
The programme started with the lighting of lamp and offering
garlands on the portrait of great literary figure Shiva Kr. Rai. This was
followed by the welcome address by Manch Coordinator Ganesh Kr. Pradhan. Dr.
Shanti Chettri spoke on the development of Nepali literature while students of
different schools participated in the quiz competition and poetry recital.
