GANGTOK, 04 Aug: The Bar Association of Sikkim has appointed Advocate AJ Sharma as election commissioner to conduct elections of the association. This was decided at a general body meeting held recently.
The sitting executive body’s term ends next month, it is informed.
Senior Advocate DR Thapa is the sitting president of the Bar with Jorgay Namkha as general secretary. Mr. Thapa, who contested the recent Assembly elections, had handed over his duties to senior vice president Narendra Rai when his political engagements had increased sometime back.
