Training on millet cultivation at Phensong

MANGAN, 27 Aug: A training on organic cultivation of millet was conducted by Block Technology Manager Kabi-Tingda, ATMA North Sikkim at Upper Paney in Phensong GPU on 22 August. 30 farmers attended the training along with the ward panchayat.
The resource person Lyangmit Lepcha [VLW, Agri] provided important information on new techniques and methods of millet cultivation giving emphasis on the use of bio-fertilisers and bio pesticides. Farmer representative, Sonam Dorjee Lepcha appraised the trainees about the importance of such trainings.
