GANGTOK, 27 Dec: Sources close to Zilla member Ramthang-Tanek, Kado Lepcha, clarified today that Mr. Lepcha is a member of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha and was at the Namprikdang meeting yesterday on having being invited to a “picnic”. It later transpired that the organizers of the meeting had put together a meeting of SDF supporters during which they proposed an alternative to the sitting MLA of Dzongu for the SDF ticket.
The Zilla member, it is now informed, was a member of SDF earlier but has recently joined SKM. He is said to have been present at the meeting but did not participate since he was not aware of the actual agenda of the meeting and stated that since he belongs to SKM, he has no comments on who SDF or its supporters want for their party’s ticket.
