GANGTOK, 25 July: The College incident of last week has shot off on many tangents, several of which are disturbing and offensive, and if today’s move by a college student bears out, even criminal.
Punam Karki, a student at Sikkim Government College-Tadong, after being turned away by the Sadar Thana, today submitted an FIR with the Criminal Investigation Department of Sikkim Police against the administrators of a Facebook page – Sikkim Messenger – accusing it of having offended her dignity, infringed on her Constitutional rights and of having invaded her privacy with posts with her photograph [taken during the student protests].
