GANGTOK, 21
Jan: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha held a meeting at Nandok under Syari constituency
today chaired by former Minister Tseten Dorjee Lepcha. A block level party
office was also inaugurated on the day.
An SKM press
release informs that during the meeting, various speakers highlighted issues
like misappropriation of public money on Pink Card, power project scams, misuse
of earthquake relief funds and the rising unemployment problem.
The meeting was also attended by SKM Nari
Morcha chief, Mingma Lhamu Bhutia, Norzong Chopel Bhutia, Uttam Lepcha, former
DSP, Adup Tshering Bhutia and former SP of Sikkim Police T T Bhutia.
The release claims that around 40
persons joined SKM party after leaving the ruling SDF party from Tambutar,
Tathangchen and Naitam-Nandok area. They will be officially welcomed into SKM on
the party’s first anniversary to be held on 04 February at Jorethang, it is
added.
