GANGTOK, 08 Apr: According to Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee [SPCC], the chief coordinator and Lok Sabha candidate of Aam Aadmi Party [AAP] Sikkim Unit, Kaushal Rai along with all party workers and supporters joined SPCC at its meeting held at Rhenock today.
The crossover was reportedly finalised yesterday and reported as a AAP-Sikkim merging with the Congress here.
However, a section of AAP’s Sikkim unit has stated that Kaushal Rai resigned from the party on 05 April and joined SPCC in his individual capacity.
In a press release, AAP has condemned reports of the party´s merger with SPCC and maintains that the party has not merged with any party.
