GANGTOK, 07 July: Tintek Lee Aal Sangh has started a dance academy here at Daragaon in Rakdong-Tintek. The academy was inaugurated on Sunday by SB Rai of Lingding.
A press release informs that the dance academy will offer lessons in modern and traditional forms of dance as well as in folk songs. Children above 6 years as well as adults can enroll in the academy which will hold classes every Sunday. Exams will be held after one year of enrollment.
Special guest on the occasion, ex-Army, Damber Dahal lauded the efforts of the Lee Aal Sangh headed by its president Tika Devi Nepal in starting the dance academy. Today children need more than just formal education and the dance academy provides such an opportunity, he said.
The chief guest, SB Rai applauded the Sangh for providing shelter to the elderly with its old-age home. He further assured all support from his side to the Sangh, the release adds.
