STPI to host workshop series for aspiring entrepreneurs

TotalStart Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Developers along with Software Technology Parks of India [STPI] has announced plans to organize a series of workshops themed, ‘How to Start Up a Start Up’, starting with the first workshop scheduled for 05 March 2015 here in the capital. TotalStart Sikkim Innovation & Incubation Center will also be inaugurated at STPI Tadong on the day.

RBI organises awareness programme on MSME Schemes for young entrepreneurs


GANGTOK, 05 Dec: Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Gangtok Office organised a sensitisation cum awareness programme on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Schemes for the young entrepreneurs of Sikkim on 02 Dec at the Zilla Panchayat Bhawan, Gangtok.

DoNER sponsored entrepreneurship course begins at IIM Shillong

GANGTOK, 03 July: Union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region, Bijoy Krishna Handique inaugurated the “Developing Managerial Skills for Entrepreneurship” programme at IIM Shillong yesterday.
DoNER has sanctioned Rs. 79.15 lakh for this programme which will train 60 youth from the NE Region. The training is supported under the “Technical assistance and Capacity Building Scheme” of DoNER.
In his inaugural address, Mr. Handique lauded the efforts of IIM Shillong in establishing its Centre for Development of North Eastern Region (CEDNER) and said that this initiative would meaningfully contribute to the welfare of the society here.
