Elohim Christian Fellowship Church conducts heath camp

GANGTOK, 07 Oct: A free health camp was organized by Elohim Christian Fellowship Church in collaboration with Mercy Mission here at Lapsibotey in Middle Shyari on Sunday. Elohim Christian Fellowship Church was established in 1998 and is registered with the state government. The Church located at Gairi Gaon, Tadong has Pastor, SS Tamang as the senior Pastor of the church.
A press release of the church informs that the camp was attended by around 100 people including children, who were treated by Dr Manoj Gupta and Dr Satish from CRH, 5th Mile Tadong. It is further informed that free medicines were provided to every participant in the camp and 21 blankets were also provided to needy families.
The church has been working in various social fields for the betterment of the society, the release adds. Pastor Tamang has expressed his gratitude to Mercy Mission, doctors and nurses of CRH and panchayats of the area for their contribution.
The camp was also attended by panchayat members Bimla Basnett and Munna Chettri.

Free health camp at Middle Syari on 06 Oct

GANGTOK, 03 Oct: Elohim Christian Fellowship, Gairi Gaon, Tadong, is organizing a free health camp here at Middle Syari in collaboration with Mercy India on 06 October from 11 AM onwards. Around 200 people are expected to attend the camp, informs a press release.

SRDS conducts free health camp at Lall Bazaar

GANGTOK, 21 March: A free health camp for the people living in and around Lall Bazaar was organized by the Sikkim Rehabilitation and Detoxification Society [SRDS] near the Police Booth here at Lall Bazaar today. The camp, sponsored by the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society [SSACS], was held from 10 AM to 1 PM.
SRDS Program Manager, Milan Rai, informs that a total of 132 adults along with a large number of children benefited through the medical camp. He informed that medicines were also provided to the people free of cost. The health camp also included an awareness campaign on HIV/ AIDS and IEC materials and condoms were also distributed to the general public.
SRDS has expressed its gratitude towards the Gangtok Municipal Corporation for allowing use of the venue and Lower MG Marg Ward councilor, Sandhya Prasad, for her support and to Dr LB Limboo from the Central Referral Hospital, Tadong, for providing his services at the Health Camp.

Free Diabetic Detection & Treatment Camp begins in Tadong

GANGTOK, 07 Dec: A two-day free Diabetic Detection and Treatment Camp started at Ayurveda Regional Research Institute, Tadong, on Wednesday. The camp has been organized by Divyatham Group of Multi-Specialties Ayurveda Hospital, Odisha, and sponsored by Amrutrasa, an Indigenous Device for Diabetic Care.  The camp has Dr Uma Kanta Patnaik and Dr Narmada Biswas as the resource persons for the camp. The camp aims at catering to around 1000 patients in the two days.

GANGTOK, 01 Dec: The Power Grid Corporation of India’s 132/66 KV Gangtok Power Grid sub-station has announced plans to organize a free medical health check up camp at Indrakil Saraswati Vidyalaya, Ranipool, on 04 December.
An official press release explains that the camp is part of the corporation’s corporate social responsibility undertakings for the financial year 2011-12.

GANGTOK, 08 Nov: Airports Authority of India in collaboration with Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences is organizing the 6th free Health check-up camp on 12 November at Pakyong, PHC from 9 AM to 4 PM, informs a press release.

NHPC holds Chicken Pox vaccination drive in Rangrang

GANGTOK, 06 May: A Chicken Pox vaccination programme was organized today by NHPC, Teesta Stage-V Power Station at the Govt. Junior High School, Rangrang in North Sikkim. An NHPC press release adds that this vaccination drive was held after receiving necessary NOC from the Health Department here.
A total of 154 students from classes I to VII [up to 12 years of age] were administered Chicken Pox vaccine free of cost.
The NHPC medical team was headed by Dr. TKR Naga, Chief Medical Officer, NHPC Limited. The Medical Superintendent, District Hospital North, Mangan, Dr. PK Basnett, represented the Health Department to supervise the programme.
This is the second vaccination programme organized by NHPC; earlier, a similar programme was held at the Makha Secondary School in East Sikkim.

750 patients attended to at AAI health camp at Pakyong

GANGTOK, 24 April: The Airports Authority of India’s [AAI] “Kalyanmayee” organisation organised its 5th free health check-up camp at the Pakyong Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Saturday. The health camp was inaugurated by Chief Secretary ND Chingapa.
A total of 750 patients from Damlakha, Dikling, Karthok, Chalamthang, Pachey, Gangchung, Mamring, Same Sam Singh, Naya Basti, Dugalakha, Pademchey etc were registered for the health camp, informs a press release.
