GANGTOK, 27 Mar: The Indian National Congress’ Sangha
candidate, Acharya Tshering Lama interacted with the members of the electoral college
of the Sangha seat today at the party’s headquarters here. Around 60 monks from
different monasteries were present and assured their support for Acharya Tshering
Lama, informs a Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee press release.
After the completion of the scrutiny process today, SPCC has
officially begun its election campaign, the release mentions.
Party president, Dr. AD Subba has welcomed the support from
monks, it is added.
