GANGTOK, 20 May: Bharatiya Janta Party, Sikkim has
congratulated Sikkim Democratic Front president, Pawan Chamling on his party’s
victory in the recently concluded Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
On behalf of BJP-Sikkim and all its members, the party
president, Palden Wangchuk Khangsarpa has congratulated the SDF president and
expressed hope that with his re-election to the state legislature, Mr Chamling
would live up to the hopes and aspirations of the people of Sikkim, by
providing a stable and progressive government.
The BJP president has also congratulated PS Tamang and the nine
other members of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha for the party’s debut in the
Sikkim Legislative Assembly. With a presence of 10 MLAs in the Sikkim
Legislative Assembly he is hopeful that the SKM party can prove to be a worthy
opposition in the house for the benefit of the people of Sikkim and also in the
tradition of a truly democratic process.
