Biteka Pal in Namchi

NAMCHI, 31 July: After its formal Sikkim release at Rabongla, South Sikkim, last week, Nepali feature film, “Biteka Pal”, premiered for audiences here this evening.
The show in Namchi was supported by Cultural Association for Revolutionary Effect (CARE). The screening, held at the community hall, also included a cultural performance by local artists.
As for the movie, it opened to mostly positive feedback from the audience. The screening had the Dakshin Sikkim Sahitya Sammelan adhoc body president Santa Pradhan as chief guest along with other members of the Sammelan and invited dignitaries.
The producer of the film, Rajesh Ghatani, gave a brief introduction to the film.

‘Anmol Tshan’ to premiere at Mannan Kendra

GANGTOK, 07 Feb: Nepali feature film ‘Anmol Tshan’ is all set to premiere at Mannan Kendra, Gangtok on 22 February.
A press release informs that the film has earlier been screened at Kalimpong on the request of a group of journalists from the area and got a good response. The film is produced by Kishor Dungmali Rai of Majhitar, East Sikkim under the banner of Sinai Enterprises and is directed by young Anmol Gurung who has a master’s degree in mass communication.
The release adds that this is Kishor Dungmali Rai’s second presentation, earlier he had produced Prashant Tamang starrer ‘Angalo Yo Maya Ko’ which was well received around the world. Sneha Rai of Majhitar and Shalom Kabo along with child artist Anurup Rai play the main characters in the film.
The film has been shot in Sikkim, Kalimpong and Kolkata. After its premiere in Sikkim, the film will travel around the world, the release informs.
