Joining the one-day nationwide strike called by the United Forum of Banking Unions [UBFU], public and private sector banks in the state also remained closed today. The strike was called to demand immediate wage revision and against bank sector reforms. Along with the banks, ATMs also remained shut today. People going to banks or even ATMs returned disappointed.
