Nine clubs through to Super-10 knockout round
GANGTOK, 11 May: Out of 30 clubs with which the contest began, nine have qualified for the Super-10 Knock-out stage in the ongoing qualifying round of the Second Division Sikkim League here at Paljor Stadium. Matches in the Super 10 Knock-out stage are scheduled to begin from 13 May.
The qualifying teams are: Gangtok Sports League from group A, Pendam FC from group B, FC Pakyong from group C, FA Namthang from group E, Sikkim Royal Sports Academy from group F, Nav Prabhat Club from group G, JVC FA Singtam from group H, Brotherhood FC group I and Tadong United FC from group J.
In group D, due to equal number of points and goals between Denzong Boyz and United Nandok FC, the two teams will play against each other again on Monday at 2:30 PM to decide which team progresses to the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, Greendale Senior Secondary School defeated United Nandok FC in its last match of the qualifying round today here at Paljor Stadium. Greendale registered its win with a score of 3-2.
In the other match of the day, Renzong FC edged past FA Armature with a lone goal.
The last qualifying match will be played between Red Bull FC, Arithang and Rendzong FC [Sheda] on Monday at 12:30 PM.
