GANGTOK, 12 May: Sikkim Democratic Front party held a coordination meeting at Melli Dara today. The meeting began with the welcome speech by Zilla Panchayat member, Farwanti Tamang.
An SDF press release informs that the objective of the meeting was to discuss the post poll analysis of SDF party in Melli constituency. The meeting was chaired by SDF candidate, Melli constituency, Tulshi Devi Rai. Also present were Zilla Panchayat Members, Panchayats, CLC members and party workers of the constituency.
Party workers and Panchayats shared their experiences of the recently concluded election and placed fruitful suggestions to make the party stronger in the coming days, the release mentions. Tulshi Devi Rai, the SDF candidate thanked all for taking active part in the election campaigning process and supporting the party. She assured the gathering that the SDF party would form the government this time as well and requested all the Panchayats and party workers to work for the betterment of the society and the development of Melli constituency.
The meeting also stressed on maintaining peace after the declaration of results while the gathering was also briefed on the counting procedure and arrangement by election agents, the release adds.
