Grand literary meet in Pakyong on 31 Oct

GANGTOK, 28 Oct: Sikkim Pratibha Pratisthan, Pakyong, a literary organisation is all set to host a grand literary meet in Pakyong on 31 October. Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, himself a poet, is scheduled to attend the function as chief guest accompanied by Ministers, MLAs, government officials, litterateurs and representatives from different literary organisations of Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Siliguri and Salua [Midnapur].
A press release informs that the main attraction of the event will be the launch of the annual magazine ‘Pardeshi’ dedicated to the literary personality Mahananda Paudyal. The ‘Mahananda Paudyal Abhinandan’ edition is published by Agam Singh Giri Prathisthan, Salua, Midnapur, West Bengal.
The programme will also see the launch of music album ‘Mobile Phonaima’ and recitation of poems by senior poets of the state and outside.
On the occasion the organizing committee will also felicitate Mr. Chamling and litterateur Mahananda Paudyal for their outstanding contribution towards the society in different fields. The organizing committee has invited all to be a part of the event, the release adds.
