GANGTOK, 29 Oct: Welfare Commission Chairman, BB Gooroong, provided a computer set with printer for inmates of Atish Dipankar, a destitute home at Chakung in West Sikkim at a function organized recently by ex-students of the home who are presently studying in various colleges of the State.
In his address, Mr Gooroong advised the students to study well and work hard to make their future bright. A press release jointly issued by ex-students Arjun Subba and Deepak Rai has thanked Mr Gooroong and the entire department for visiting the home and providing the computer set to the students.
The release informs that at present the home has 80 children who are studying in various schools.
