GANGTOK, 01 Nov: Ad-hoc Assistant Professors of different colleges of Sikkim convened a meeting on 31 October to discuss the issues related to the on-going hunger strike by Ad- hoc Teachers of Government schools of Sikkim.
A press release issued by Lobsang C. Lepcha, Roshan Rai, Elvis Lepcha and Santosh Basnett on behalf of Ad-hoc professors, informs that after a protracted discussion and taking a holistic view of the situation, the body eventually decided to pass a resolution tendering their support to the demand of the Ad-hoc Teachers.
The meeting also expressed their deepest faith on the people-centric government in dealing with the matters of Ad-hoc Assistant Professors and Ad-hoc teachers of the state expeditiously and judiciously.
