NAMCHI, 30 Oct: The Central Committee of Sikkim United Teachers Welfare Association (SUTWA) has highlighted that students are bearing the brunt of the ongoing standoff between the ad-hoc teachers and the state government. A SUTWA release states that the strike called by ad-hoc teachers has directly hampered the future of students.
In this regard, SUTWA Central Committee has welcomed the state government’s initiative to regularize the incumbents if they get through the TET. The general secretary of SUTWA West District, Govind Lohagan, along with president SUTWA Central Committee, Kumar Subba, state that it is the students who have become the real victims of the ongoing strike and have appealed to all to consider the problems faced by the students.
