Gangtok, 26 June: On the occasion of World Anti-Drugs Day,
Sikkim University NSS organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the
Sikkim Manipal University today. 43 students and staff members of Sikkim
University, including Registrar TK Kaul and Controller of Examination, Dr.
Suresh Kr. Gurung, donated blood on occasion.
The organisers hoped that the camp would send out a strong
message of positive health, fitness and well-being and encourage participants
to adopt a healthy lifestyle and build a drug-free environment.
A press release informs that a number of students couldn’t
donate blood today due to low Hemoglobin and blood pressure.
