GANGTOK, 27 June: The Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti formed
a new executive committee at its Annual General Body Meeting held on 26 June at
the SVSS office here at Zero Point. The election was preceded by the
resignation of all government employees who were executive and ordinary members
of SVSS. This, in accordance with the recent government circular which
disallows government servants from becoming members of any association.
The new committee is headed by Tempo Bhutia as president, Dr
Savitri Hamal as working president, Ramesh Periwal as vice-president, ST Lepcha
general secretary, BK Baraily as
treasurer, Navraj Tewari as joint treasurer, Sanjay Ghimirey joint secretary
and has Ratna Rasaily as legal advisor, a press release informs.
