RONGLI, 25 June: A Sub-Division level meeting was held at the SDPO Office here yesterday during which the celebration committee for the 200th Bhanu Jayanti was formed. SDM Somnath Adhikari presided over the meeting which was also attended by SDPO PD Rai, Principal, Chujachen SSS, TT Bhutia; HM, Rongli JHS, GK Chettri, and Sub-Divisional department officers Dilip Pradhan, Gajendra Rai, Praveen Subba, Amar Gurung, Prawin Pradhan, Panchayat members, teachers and others. Youth from Rongli Subdivision were also present.
The new committee has the area MLA Bikram Pradhan as Chief Patron, the SDM as chairperson and all the Panchayat members, Zilla Panchayat members and others as members. Different tasks were also allotted to the various teams.
The 200th Bhanu Jayanti celebration will be organized on a grander scale with Shova Yatra, Ramayana Path, cultural and Poetry competitions, it was decided. The programme will be held in two parts - the first programme will have a shova yatra in the bazaar while the second phase will feature the competitions and shall be held in the Community Hall at Melatar.
