OMAS lays out World Music Day treat at TNA

GANGTOK, 22 June: Organization of Musicians & Artistes of Sikkim [OMAS] celebrated World Music Day on Sunday with performances by young artists today at the Tashi Namgyal Academy auditorium.
The celebration featured solo and duet performance by young singers along with performances by the OMAS choir and band performances by West Point School Band, Roll Heads, Dewan Brothers and Tribal Rain.
Also taking the stage were dances by Anmolan Sangh and Funky Hop.
The celebration had Cultural Affairs Minister GM Gurung as the chief guest, who was accompanied by TNA Principal, KS Heran and SUTO vice-president.

On the occasion, the OMAS members requested the State government to extend 50% concession on the hire charge for Mannan Kendra for local artists for performances in the future.
