GANGTOK, 21 Nov: Students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Sikkim University organized an Anti Drugs Campaign at Bahai Senior Secondary School, Saramsa.
The campaign focused on students from VIII to XII standard and started with a presentation on the effects of drug addiction followed by the screening of a short animated movie on the same theme.
The students of the department also staged a play on the theme and its effect on teenagers. The campaign ended with an entertaining mimicry and a quiz competition.
The Acting Principal of the school, Samuel Adhikari said that the campaign was refreshing, informative and entertaining. He further added that this kind of campaigns should be organized more frequently for the up-liftment of the society as a whole. [from DEEPMONI GOGOI]
