Char Dham receiving an average of 250 visitors daily

NAMCHI, 24 Nov [IPR]: Prayers on the occasion of Balachaturdasi were held here at Char Dham, Solophok, Namchi, today. This was the first puja held after the Pran Pratisthan of Char Dham on 08 November 2011.

The puja was attended by the Councillor of Namchi Municipal Council, Tarkeshwar Prasad along with a host of devotees. According to communication received from Administrator, Siddeshwara Dham Trust, since its inauguration the pilgrimage centre is being visited by an average of 250 persons per day from within the state and outside.
The trust has started collecting service charge at the rate of Rs. 20 per person from the visitors for keeping their bags and baggages outside the temple premises. It has also started levying parking fees from the vehicles. Further, an average of Rs. 4000 is being collected each day from such service charge and parking fees.
