GANGTOK, 20 Nov: St. Thomas Church, Gangtok, celebrated Khrista Raja Festival today under the supervision of Father Felix Baretto and Father Michael Lepcha, informs a press release.
The celebration was marked by ‘Missa Balidan’, a religious event, and joined by a large number of followers. A choir team, managed by the Church In-charge, John Khatri also presented songs in praise of Christ, the release mentions.
Father Baretto, congratulating all on the occasion, spoke a few words on Christ and blessed the devotees.
Later, a rally was also taken out which was participated by the members of thirteen SCC, members of the Catholic Association of the St. Thomas Church, its Nari Samaj, kids from Childhood, nuns from Holy Cross and the devotees.
The rally was taken to the District Court, past Sichey and ended at MC Sister Residence, the release adds.
