GANGTOK, 13 Dec: Former Deputy Superintendent of Police, Adup Tshering Bhutia has formally joined Sikkim Krantikari Morcha today here at the party headquarter as a primary member of the party.
An SKM press release informs that Mr. Bhutia submitted a joining letter to the party working president and was accepted and admitted into the party fold. The SKM party has alleged that the ruling party continues to suppress retired bureaucrats and government employees. This, the release states, is why retired employees are joining hands with SKM to oppose the SDF government and bring about a change.
Another SKM release claims that former Zilla Panchayat of Kungsola under Gyalshing-Bermiok constituency, Gyanendra Thapa has also resigned from the primary membership of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front party and joined Sikkim Krantikari Morcha.
He sent a copy of his resignation letter addressed to the SDF president before joining SKM, it is informed.
Mr. Thapa was Zilla Panchayat of Kungsola from 2002 to 2007 and has served the ruling party in various positions till now, the release mentions.
