GANGTOK, 14 Nov: Sikkim Sangram Parishad party today welcomed 57 youth into the party. The new members were led by Suman Subba from Soreng-Chakung constituency of West Sikkim, Chungmo Bhutia from Mangan, Menu Darjee from Mazitar, Melli constituency and Sumiran Alay from Namchi Singithang, informs an SSP press release.
In a meeting of the Central Working Committee of the party held today at the party head office, the party president Nar Bahadur Bhandari also welcomed Kamal Khati of Rangpo into the party. Mr Khati has been given charge of the Central Pendam constituency, the release informs.
The meeting also discussed details of organizing the party and educating the masses on the importance of old laws, tripartite agreement and special provisions under Article 371 F of the Indian Constitution. The meeting resolved to hold a street corner public meeting at Rangpo Bazaar on 17 November for which a letter seeking permission has been sent to the SP East and DC East, it is informed.
