GANGTOK, 11 Nov: Tata Football Academy has entered the quarter-final round of the ongoing 34th All India Governor’s Gold Cup Football Tournament 2013 here at Paljor Stadium. In the first pre quarter-final match played today, a brace by K Udanta Singh helped TFA to defeat NISA Manipur 2-0.
With a goal by K Udanta Singh in the 21st minute TFA finished the first half with the lead of 1-0. Just as the second half was nearing its end at the same scoreline of 1-0, K Udanta Singh completed his brace in the 82nd minute and confirmed a 2-0 victory for TFA.
On Tuesday, United Sikkim Football Club will take on MP United in the second pre quarter-final match at 12 noon, which will be followed by another pre quarter-final match between Nepal National Youth XI and George Telegraph at 2 PM.
