GANGTOK, 13 Nov: Members of the Sikkim Bihari Jagran Manch, led by their president Swaminath Prasad, and accompanied by district president Birendra Prasad and Swejee Prasad called on Governor Shriniwas Patil at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.
A press release from Raj Bhavan informs that they presented offerings [prasad] of the Chhat Puja to the Governor.
The Governor has conveyed his gratitude to the entire Bihari community living in Sikkim, and especially from Rangpo, and suggested that such activity should be continued in Rangpo.
The Governor also urged the Manch to extend their full cooperation to needy people from all walks of life in Sikkim and Rangpo in particular.
