GANGTOK, 14 Nov: Sikkim Bachao Abhiyan Forum [SBAF], claiming a membership strength of 500, merged en bloc with Sikkim Pradesh Trinamool Congress today.
A press release issued by TMC general secretary, Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha, informs that all the members of Sikkim Bachao Abhiyan Forum joined Sikkim-TMC today “to carry forward the movement of positive change with responsible leadership carried by Sikkim Pradesh TMC in Sikkim”.
The president of Sikkim Bachao Abhiyan, former DSP Jeewan Pradhan was declared vice-president of Sikkim Pradesh TMC unit. Other executive members of SBAF who were present today shall be active working members of SPTMC, the release adds.
It may be mentioned here that Sikkim Bachao Abhiyan Forum had earlier this year claimed to have joined Sikkim Sangram Parishad and then on 06 October joined Sikkim Krantikari Morcha during the welcome ceremony hosted at Paljor Stadium for former SDF MLA PS Tamang [Golay].
