President arrives

GANGTOK, 10 Nov [IPR]: The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee arrived in Gangtok today onboard a special army helicopter. The President was received and accorded a warm welcome by Governor Shriniwas Dadasaheb Patil and Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at Libing Helipad.
Also present were acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Sikkim, Justice Narendra K Jain, Judge High Court of Sikkim, Justice SP Wangdi, MPs PD Rai and Hissey Lachungpa, Ministers, Chief Secretary. R. Ongmu, Director General of Police, Zilla Adkyakshas from all four districts, all Heads of Departments and senior army officers amongst others. The President will inaugurate the 40th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition on 11 November at Epica Garden Saramsa, East Sikkim.
