GANGTOK, 11 Dec: A 50-year-old woman died after falling from a cliff in South Sikkim on 10 December.
The woman, a resident of Lower Hingdam, had gone to collect seasonal pulses [dal] from the field at around 6 in the morning and did not return home. When her sister went to search for her at around 10 a.m. she found her dead in a jhora. She had fallen around 300 feet down a cliff and had sustained head injuries which resulted in her death.
