GANGTOK, 11 Dec: The Association of Old Settlers of Sikkim [AOSS] has welcomed the resolution adopted by the Bhutia Lepcha Protection Force [BLPF] at its national convention on 08 December in support of granting socioeconomic and political rights to the old settlers.
In a press release, the association’s president, RC Mundra has congratulated BLPF for successfully conducting the national convention.
“Further, we look forward to have your continuous support and cooperation in achieving our rights in future and we hereby also assure you of our full support on the issues of protection of rights of the Bhutias and Lepchas of Sikkim being espoused by BLPF and we extend our full cooperation to the same,” states Mr. Mundra.
“The convention will prove to be a milestone in preserving the unity, peace, tranquility and brotherhood among different communities of Sikkim,” he adds.
